Position: Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)

Minimum Experience: 4 years + in a B2B marketing role, ideally with knowledge of the media industry.
Position purpose/The Role:Â Our client are looking for an enthusiastic Marketing Manager, with a solid understanding of B2B marketing and communications, to work directly with the CEO and Board to help develop and execute an ambitious marketing plan. This is a Maternity Cover position to start by mid-November at the latest.
As Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for raising our clients profile within the media industry. You will act as a Brand Ambassador, championing our clients Group internally and externally, building awareness and engagement which will help convert into revenue opportunities.
â€¢Â Experience in managing corporate social media channels
â€¢Â Excellent copywriting skills and experience of editing and publishing content via content management systems (ideally WordPress)
â€¢Â Strong ability to quickly develop relationships with key internal stakeholders, external suppliers and media contacts
â€¢Â A self-starter with lots of initiative, motivation and a drive to succeed; you will get plenty of support but the ability to manage your own workload and identify ways to improve is crucial
â€¢Â Accuracy and attention to detail
â€¢Â Team player, who can handle pressure
â€¢Â Multi-media disciplined â€“ can talk competently about all media
â€¢Â Good industry knowledge and insight â€“ well-read and aware of sector specific and competitor news and practices and willing to share information regularly.
â€¢Â Event planning and management experience
Brand and Strategy
â€¢Â Work with the Board to ensure a consistent Group Brand Tone, Voice and Vision. Act as gatekeeper for the group, ensuring it is always represented accurately.
â€¢Â Generate an annual marketing, communications and engagement strategic plan.
â€¢Â Work with Creative Designer to ensure all brand collateral and graphic design material is regularly reviewed and up to date
â€¢Â Competitor analysis and monitoring
â€¢Â Manage and maintain the website (WordPress knowledge preferable)
â€¢Â Manage and oversee social media accounts for the brand and regularly engage our followers.
â€¢Â Create a social media content plan for Twitter/LinkedIn to ensure we communicate a consistent brand story that supports our vision.
â€¢Â Manage and produce paid search and Digital Marketing campaigns when needed alongside PPC Director.
Customer Engagement and Content Marketing:
â€¢Â Produce and circulate yearly client service surveys and report results and insights to relevant senior management team.
â€¢Â Produce and oversee content marketing: Website blogs, PR & White papers, case studies, thought pieces etc.
â€¢Â Plan and manage PR announcements and activity, including drafting press releases and issuing to trade press.
â€¢Â Plan and manage award entries
â€¢Â Plan and manage events for both clients and new business prospects when needed: Agency Training Days, Seminars/workshops and tailored roundtables etc.
â€¢Â Work with HR to support recruitment initiatives and employer branding opportunities
â€¢Â Champion our CRM and marketing automation system Bitrix and our internal communication system, Workplace.
â€¢Â Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders â€“ media owners, trade memberships, client partners etc.
â€¢Â Constant knowledge sharing of networking events and industry news for relevant team members.
