Position: Account Engineer

Our client offers a range of IT Support Services to assist companies run a reliable IT infrastructure. They
have a dedicated team of experienced engineers supporting predominantly Microsoft operating systems,
providing both ongoing and project solutions. They pride ourselves on offering a proactive approach to
our clients. Our client operate both regular and emergency site visits, and work remotely through their
telephone service desk which runs industry standard automation and remote monitoring and management tools.

Detailed Duties
Technical duties:
Predominantly 2nd/3rd line service desk support engineering.
Responsible for support, documentation, monitoring and maintenance of client infrastructure.
Involvement in project delivery for rollouts, migrations and new installations.
Remote and on site resolution of end user issues.
Monitoring and control of disaster recovery and data backups.

Administrative duties:
Logging and updating of service desk tickets.
Detailed recording of faults and resolutions.
Escalation of issues to 3rd line.
Client progress reporting.

Career Background
A minimum of 3 years in IT support working with Microsoft products. Preferably from an IT solutions
provider with exposure to multiple site support.

Academic Qualifications
A level or similar.
Degree or tertiary education qualification desirable but not essential.
Any technical accreditation will be viewed favourably.

Keys Skills & Experience
Current Microsoft, Cisco or equivalent technical qualification.
Hands-on experience with a variety of server and desktop operating systems, including;
Windows Server, Apple desktop.
Networking and security appliances, including vendors such as; Juniper, Cisco, Dell.
A good confident telephone manner and a good communicator at all levels.

Desirable Skills
Virtualisation technologies.
Implementation of cloud services.

Keen eye for detail.
A methodical approach to issue resolution.
Independent, able to self manage but not unwilling to ask for assistance.
Able to work well in teams.
A proactive approach.
